
Fettuccine is my favorite Italian noodle. Toss it up with shrimp, minced garlic, chili flakes, and lots of parm and olive oil, and you’ve got a very tasty meal.
To enhance the umami, try adding a couple chopped slices of bacon.
I experimented by mincing mint leaves picked from my garden and stirring them into the pan with all the ingredients at the last minute. I liked the result: a fresh herbal component that’s a takeoff from the usual basil/oregano seasoning.
