If you’re staying in the Coral Coast or Denarau, I recommend doing the Ecotrax tour. We stayed at the Intercontinental recently, and we asked the hotel to set up a taxi to drive us to Ecotrax. It was about a 20-min. ride.
This tour is great fun for all ages and is accessible to all fitness levels. Two people can ride side by side on electric bikes in a cart that goes along an abandoned railroad track that used to serve the sugar industry. You start pedaling to get the electric motor going, but you barely have to pedal once the motor kicks in. A very easy ride.
The tour takes you through a couple villages by the ocean, and the kids love to come out and high five. There is an hour-long stop midway through the tour at a secluded beach, where the guides serve fresh fruit and water and you can swim, wade, hang out and relax.
The morning tour seemed fully booked when we were there, so it’s good to schedule ahead.
