I was inspired recently to create a picking sequence on acoustic guitar. I recorded a 25-second piece of music, then played around in Audacity to create a full track. I replicated the original sequence eight times by copying and pasting into the timeline window of the software interface to lay down the rhythm, then I recorded a solo through the whole track, also on acoustic guitar.
I’m intensely pleased at how pretty this music sounds. It’s the first original recording I’ve ever laid down permanently. I call it “Circles of 9.”
