Seafood Boil

We went to the Suva municipal market downtown this past weekend. We hadn’t been in a while, and we wanted to pick up produce and try the local lobster.

The lobsters we chose were beautiful. They had blue-green shells with black and white bands and patterns and a blush of pink in the antennae. We paid about $25 USD for two medium-large ones.

We also ended up buying a mud crab and a big crayfish and did a seafood boil, served with a side of homemade butter garlic sauce.

Bonus: The water from the seafood boil can serve as seafood stock for other dishes (for example, ramen).
