Cocktail Time: Mojito

Mojitos are one of my favorite cocktails. They’re refreshing and slightly sweet, with a hint of edge. Perfect for sipping on a lazy afternoon, or to wind down in the evening.

I use fresh mint from our garden and tamp down on the mint leaves with a straw to release the oils, instead of the classic technique of muddling the leaves.

Ingredients:

1 finger of white rum
10-15 mint leaves
1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. sugar
ice cubes

Stir the ingredients in a glass, then top up with desired amount of ice.
