Ji’s is a popular spot, known for it’s hand-pulled noodles. You can watch a guy in the kitchen working the dough by hand.

We went to the one in downtown Suva yesterday, and I was very happy with what I ordered for lunch: cold sesame noodles.

The food came out quickly, and the dish was delicious–good umami from the sesame-based sauce. I’m guessing the flavoring is a mix of sesame paste and fish sauce. It was served beautifully with toppings of fresh cucumber, carrot, onion and peanuts.

We also ordered dumplings to go. Looking forward to trying them for dinner.
