I took this photo on the pier at Maui Bay. It was low tide at sunset.
I like the way the thatch fringe frames the image at the top and the wooden railing subtly frames the bottom and right side of the image.
There’s a lovely interplay of shadow and light, a suggestion of horizon line from the look of the trees and mountains, a few highlights of exposed sea bottom, and an interesting radiating pattern of waves driven by wind.
