I created this dish for dinner on a recent weeknight, and I love how flavorful it turned out.
The flavors come from the toasted garlic, sesame oil and Japanese sesame sauce (see photo below).
I made this dish vegetarian style, but if you’d like more protein, I recommend adding tofu, chicken or shrimp.
Ingredients:
3 bunches of soba noodles
1/2 head of garlic, minced
1 can jackfruit, shredded by hand
sesame oil to taste
sesame sauce to taste
scallions, chopped for garnish
Bring water to boil in a pot, and cook the soba until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat up a neutral oil in a large pan, then cook the garlic until golden brown. Stir in the jackfruit and soba, then season with sesame oil and sesame sauce.
Garnish with scallions.
