ATB is created by Aileen Torres-Bennett. She graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she studied political science, anthropology and creative writing. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Aileen earned her M.S. in journalism from Columbia University in New York City. She edits a maritime technology publication and is also a freelance writer who has written for AP, Reuters, AFP and Travel + Leisure. Aileen is married to Chuck Bennett, a diplomat and former journalist. Their posts include Kingston, Jamaica; Vancouver, Canada; Suva, Fiji; and Washington, D.C. They have two Fijian dogs: Guthrie and Jolene.
