What would I like you to know about me? Well…
For starters, I like a lot of things. I have several hobbies, and I’m perpetually curious. My motto is: Never stop learning. Never stop evolving. Life is a great adventure, and I intend to live it as such.
I launched this website to share my discoveries and creations. I pack a lot in here: recipes, travelogues, essays, art, and random tips, tricks, notes, etc. It’s a journal of sorts, capturing my travels through the world in the physical and mental planes.
I hope you enjoy this site as much as I enjoy sharing what I learn and create with you.

Aileen Torres-Bennett graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she studied political science, anthropology and creative writing. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her M.S. in journalism from Columbia University in New York City. Aileen edits a maritime technology publication and is also a freelance writer who has written for Reuters, AP, AFP and Travel + Leisure. Aileen is married to Chuck Bennett, a diplomat and former journalist. Their posts include Kingston, Jamaica; Vancouver, Canada; and, currently, Suva, Fiji.
